Five hundred fans joined Senna Agius, Jack Miller, Mick Doohan, Joan Mir, Joel Kelso and Jacob Roulstone on the Homecoming Ride to the Phillip Island Circuit.
After a slight delay, Motorsport legend Mick Doohan led the riders on the Homecoming Ride across the bridge at San Remo around 11.35am.
The bridge and Phillip Island Road were lined with spectators, including students from Newhaven Primary School, who welcomed the riders onto the island.
Participants then made their way to the Grand Prix track, to complete a lap and a half of the world-renowned circuit.
The island turned on the weather, with blue skies and a 24 degree day. Cowes is gearing up for the event, with the Entertainment Precinct at the bottom of Thompson Avenue open from 5pm.
The Australian MotoGP kicks off tomorrow, with gates opening at 8.30am.
