Bass Valley Primary School students returned last Thursday with all students excited to be meeting their new teachers and school staff.
Acting Principal, Emma Harris said the first two days back focused on everyone getting to know each other.
“It’s about setting up good learning habits and focussing on the school expectations of, be a learner, be respectful, be a friend and be safe.”
Ms Harris said Foundation students were well prepared to start school, after taking part in the school’s ‘Ready Set Go’ transition program in term three and four last year.
“Some of this program even ran remotely,” she said.
This year Bass Valley PS has 29 Foundation students across two grades.
“Many of our new students are new to Bass Coast with their families making the move to the waterline area.”
The school has “some exciting new learning initiatives” this year and a fully restored outdoor play space.
