Join the Great Witch Hunt
1 min read

Witches are popping up around the island and across Bass Coast this month, in the lead up to Halloween.

The Great Witch Hunt will see 64 witches on display in businesses right across the shire, and tracking them down could see you take home some great prizes.

Each witch has a sign with a unique number that participants must hunt for and fill in on their Ticket To Hunt to then go in the draw to win prizes.

There is a range of great prizes on offer this year from local businesses including family accommodation for two nights at the Kilcunda Oceanview Holiday Park.

This event is hosted annually by the Grantville Business and Community Association (GBCA) and is not-for-profit and run by volunteers, with any funds raised being 100 per cent returned back into the community.

The aim of the event is to showcase local businesses and encourage participants to explore the Bass Coast and support the great range of businesses, both large and small, in our region.

"Not only does this event showcase local businesses, but is great for all ages," event organiser and GBCA Vice-President Neroli Heffer said.

"It's always exciting to see what the witches get up to each year as we have some very creative business owners who have lots of fun moving the witches around their business."

Tickets are just $5 and can be purchased online or from Visitor Information Centres in Inverloch and Newhaven, Grantville Transaction Centre, at Artspace in Wonthaggi or from Maru Koala and Animal Park in Grantville.

Once you have your ticket, start hunting and then return your completed ticket to any of the outlets listed above or email it back to greatwitchhunt@gmail.com.
