
At lights out Nicolo Bulega and Andrea Iannone broke away from the pack and began their battle for first in the 10-lap WorldSBK Tissot Superpole Race. Bulega proved victorious, continuing his strong performance this weekend at the Phillip Island Circuit.
Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing Ducati) has continued his streak of victory at the Phillip Island Circuit this afternoon, taking first place in the WorldSBK Tissot Superpole Race.
The Italian started the short 10-lapper from pole position after his success throughout Saturday.
At lights out Bulega and Andrea Iannone (Team Pata Go Eleven) broke away from the pack and began their battle for first leaving the rest of the field to fend for themselves.
By the final lap, the podium proved to be a Ducati top three with Beluga placing first, Iannone second and Danillo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing) piloting his satellite Ducati to third place.
WorldSBK’s Race 2 gets underway this afternoon at 4pm.
