A committal hearing for the man charged with robbing the San Remo Post Office in September last year has been adjourned.
Originally scheduled for January 29, the hearing will now be held on March 9.
Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad charged Michael White, a 28-year-old from San Remo, with armed robbery and drug offences.
The charges follow an alleged incident at the post office on Marine Parade on September 5, 2020.
Deepak and Khyati Gurnani, who run the San Remo Post Office and Newsagency, said a man entered the store around 9.20am, originally asking if they sold stamps.
“Then he put his bag on the counter and raised his right arm and I saw the handle of a knife,” said Deepak.
“He said I don’t want to take this out. Give me all you have.”
All the takings from the previous day were stolen.
