An eagle-eyed resident of Teddy Bear Lane in Cowes spotted a newcomer to the area.
William Furniss took these photos of a koala curled up in the trees near his house last week.
“Last time we had a koala in Teddy Bear Lane was 2005,” he said.
Wildlife Victoria and Phillip Island Nature Parks were alerted, with rangers popping out to do a quick health check.
In the meantime, Teddy Bear Lane’s newest arrival seemed unperturbed with all the attention.
