PICES now in Focus

After hosting the successful 2024 Pop Up Exhibition, PICES is thrilled to present a new exhibition at Berninneit.

"PICES in Focus" is a two week exhibition in partnership with Bass Coast Shire Council. This is a new PICES initiative featuring works from three highly respected local and regional contemporary artists Mae Adams, Andrew Kasper and Mark Schaller.

"We are very thrilled to have this calibre of artists participate," PICES president Sandra Peeters said.

In this exhibition paint, fibre and steel are brought together in this collective body of works, with each artist contributing a unique voice and story to their works.

The diverse mediums employed reflect not only technical prowess but also a profound individuality, contributing to the richness and diversity of the overall artistic dialogue.

PICES in Focus emerges as a celebration of the local contemporary art scene, offering viewers a unique opportunity to delve into the personal stories and creative journeys woven into the fabric of the works.

The artists invite you to join them in the gallery on Sunday, February 4, at 2pm when they will share ideas about their art practice in a discussion moderated by well-known and local journalist Catherine Watson. All welcome.

PICES is very pleased to have received grants from Bass Coast Shire Council to assist with mounting this exhibition and from Regional Arts Victoria to make a short film of the artists involved.

The PICES in Focus Exhibition will be held in the Art Gallery, Berninneit, 91-97 Thompson Avenue, Cowes.

Open weekdays from 9.30am - 5pm and weekends 10am - 4pm, from January 31 until February 12.
