What a day last Thursday. Pouring rain prior to bowls starting and it looked like it could be a very short day.

But nonetheless 18 souls turned out to brave the elements.

And what a decision that was.

Koo Wee Rup turned on a wonderful day for our bowls family.

As soon as we walked outside the rain stopped and never dared start again all day.

The green was in great condition, but this didn't stop some of our bowlers contributing to the RCH tin.

One would almost think they were doing wrong bias bowls on purpose.

Friendly sledging and laughter could be heard across the greens as usual but once again we salute todays’ winners as well as today’s losers.

Today’s Winners on 36 points were John Nicholson (S), David Talbot (3) and Frank d’Unienville (L).

Runners Up on 34 points were Ken Barnes (S), Laurie Bell (3) and Peter Taylor (L).

Best One Game on 33 points were Michael Dady (S), Luke Monckton (3) and Peter Thorley (L).

A big shout out to David Talbot behind the bar as well as Luke who both prepared the green for our group.

I would also like to thank Peter and Pauline who put so much time and effort into our wonderful Thursdays.

And let’s not forget our President John as well.
