Swapping their bike leathers for wetsuits, a group of riders in town for the World Superbikes event this weekend, took to the waves.
There were photographers and camera crews on hand to capture all the action as the riders headed out at Smiths Beach this morning for an exclusive surf lesson with Island Surfboard's Glyndyn Ringrose.
The former World Tour surfer enlisted up and coming surfer, 10-year-old Scarlett Rennie from Cape Woolamai to lend a hand at the super surf session.
Paddling out were World Superbike riders - Australia's Remy Gardner, Eric Granado (Brazil), Xavi Vierge (Spain) and Garrett Gerloff (USA), alongside World Supersport Riders Andrea Mantovani (Italy) and Australia's Oli Bayliss, and Tom Bramich (ASBK Championship).
Tom is practically a local, having spent many summers on Phillip Island at his grandparents house in Cowes.
After a brief run down from Glyndyn and a few practice moves on the sand, the boys took to the water.
Oli Bayliss was the first to stand up on a wave with the cameras capturing every move.
From Friday, the boys will be back on the track battling it out at the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship (February 24 - 26), for the Grand Ridge Brewery Australian Round.
