All abilities grants
Applications are open for the new Regional All Abilities Participation Grants which will increase opportunities for people with disability living in regional Victoria to get involved in the sports they love.
Grants of up to $25,000 are available in three categories: Equipment and Travel, Inclusion Workforce, and Programs and Disability-led Initiatives.
The grants can be used to purchase specialised or modified equipment and uniforms.
Or grant money can be used to subsidise wages or salaries towards a skilled workforce to help people with disability participate.
Organisations that support community participation in sport and active recreation such as local clubs, state sporting associations, disability or self-advocacy groups, and health or disability providers are encouraged to apply.

Young Achiever awards
Nominations for the 2025 7NEWS Victorian Young Achiever Awards (for people under 30) are now open.
Category winners will receive a prize from DMT coaching and one of the category winners will be chosen as the 2025 Victorian Young Achiever of the Year.

Volunteers survey
All volunteers are encouraged to take part in new research to gauge the state of volunteering in Victoria.
The Volunteering Victoria research team is hosting in depth qualitative research sessions online and in person for volunteer managers, emergency services volunteers, Volunteering Victoria members, youth volunteers and online volunteers in both regional and metropolitan locations.

Solar panel grants for schools
Schools can apply to cover solar panel installation costs through the Greener Government School Buildings program.
The Greener Government School Buildings program removes the upfront costs of installing a solar power system that may otherwise discourage schools from doing so.

Community sport facility grants
Applications are open for the Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund (RCSIF) and the 2024-25 Local Sports Infrastructure Fund (LSIF) to help local communities plan, design and build the sport facilities they need.
The fund will help regional communities plan and build everything from indoor stadiums and aquatic facilities, upgrades for women and girls, community facilities, and infrastructure and planning to encourage people from all abilities to get involved.
The fund has three funding streams including community facilities, community sports lighting, and planning.
Applications for LSIF close on February 17 and RCSIF closes on March 17, 2025.
