It was the game the team have been working up to for the last six weeks, facing off against the undefeated Nar Nar Goon.
It was a nail biter right through to the last minute on Saturday.
The team pulled together every piece of the puzzle designed by Coach Anna Mewitt and executed with precision across all thirds of the court.
Never an easy game, grit, determination and never dropping their heads paid off.
The warm weather was a test in itself and a decision to put fresh legs in the mid-court to avoid a fourth quarter slump paid off.
Cool heads, fresh legs and a strong team voice saw the girls claw back from two down at the third break and take victory in the final minutes.
Outstanding shooting and shared effort by Aisha and Mia.
Mid-court led by Ellie, with Piper, Abby and Jasira stood up to the task against a very strong Nar Nar Goon centre court team.
Ruby Mewitt was a stand-out in defence, her intercepts and read of the ball kept the team and crowd energy high and excited with Tilly backing up with pressure in the ring.
Honourable mention to Ava, playing up an age group who stepped on to the court in the fourth to provide fresh legs and enable a defensive switch for Ellie.
Her cool head and maturity were a brilliant contribution to the fourth quarter push.
The girls have now earned a week off before the grand final.
