Island Reserves work hard

A spirited Anzac Round clash saw the Island Reserves put on a dominant performance, running out 49-point winners over Kilcunda Bass.

The Bulldogs set the tone early with fierce pressure and clean ball movement, maintaining control across all four quarters.

Their midfield engine room worked hard to give their forwards plenty of supply, resulting in a well-spread scoreboard.

Brady Ross led the way up forward with three goals, while Jack Huther, Max Mattock and Bryce Pewtress also contributed multiple majors.

Alexander Officer was a standout all afternoon, showing composure under pressure, strength around the contest and setting the standard with his leadership which earnt him the Anzac Medal for best-on-ground honours.

Kilcunda Bass showed patches of fight but couldn't match the Bulldogs' intensity.

The win solidifies a strong start to the season for the Island as they continue to build momentum heading into Round 4.
