Nate Churchill of Newhaven Primary School was recently presented with a medal commending his athletic efforts.
Nate Churchill, a Grade 4 student at Newhaven Primary School, recently won the U10 Boys individual medal at District Athletics.
He is an avid Little Athletics competitor and loves to run. He has also competed at the Regional level for cross country this year - just missing out on moving on to State level.
He can often be seen training and running up and down the hills of San Remo with his mum trying to keep up.
When presented with his medal by PE teacher, Mrs Kimber at assembly last Monday he thanked his mum and dad.
Nate plans to have a week's break to prepare for the 100m, 800m, 50m hurdles and relay at the Divisional level in September.
Newhaven Primary School is proud of Nate's efforts as he trains and prepares hard for his events.
