U10 Red

Freezing start to the day at the kennel with parents sipping their morning coffees and eating their egg and bacon burgers but the cold wasn’t going to slow down our little pups who were all warmed up and ready to go!

Led by their captain for this week, Cody Naismith – In the first quarter there was a lot of play in the opposition forward-line, which resulted in a quick goal by Inverloch.

Leith Cameron and Lenny Nolan were very strong in the centre trying their best to get it down to our forward-line where their eager teammates were waiting.

The second quarter came around before we knew it with Jack Franks and Ray Johns locking it in our front 50 so Maxi Robinson could kick our first goal for the game.

The centres and forwards did such a good job locking it in our half that the backline got bored and started having a dance-off.

In the third quarter Inverloch came out all fired up which took our little pups by surprise.

Oscar Innes and Izaac Naarden came in strong from on the wing and almost had the ball on a string with Tate Steward and Eddie Maier on the opposite wing taking on Inverloch’s key players to try and keep them out of the game, along with help from Eli Long and Cody Naismith, Max Robinson kicking another goal for the Reds.

The final quarter saw both teams desperate with the score tied, with huge tackles from Tanner Lee and Sunny Woodrup and assist from Jack Caffery and Austin Bennett to stop the Invy players from kicking certain goals.

The pups played their little hearts out with the majority of kids getting a touch of the footy.

Well done to our little pups once again for their great efforts.

Awarded players – Izaac Naarden, Fletcher Hennessy, Eddie Maier and Ray Wolfenden.
