Well done to the Island's U17 players Angus Dempsey, Balian Prendergast and Coach Daren Dempsey who played with the Gippsland Soccer League's U18s squad.
After a few late withdrawals, the team played five games across two days, saving the best performance for the last game under lights in a playoff game against Warrnambool League - narrowly going down 3-2.
The team had the big crowd on their feet until the final whistle.
U14s
The Island's U14 Stingrays played Korumburra over the weekend under new coach Jake.
Jackson kicked the first goal of the game, with Korumburra replying in kind to leave the scoreline 1-4 down after the first half.
The second half witnessed Korumburra play a hard game, taking the overall win 2-8.
Zac Coldora put in an amazing effort, taking home best on ground for the Stingrays.
Oscar Wilson played goalkeeper for the first time after the team's usual goalie was out of the game.
