First Junior Pro wins big

Finals day at the Phillip Island Junior Pro presented by Bass Coast Shire Council did not disappoint with Woolamai Beach producing amazing rip bowl conditions for six competitors to come out victorious across the divisions.

Emerging surfers from across the country converged on Phillip Island for the event, which provides young surfers with valuable rankings points in their quest for a spot in the Irukandjis team heading to the ISA World Junior Surfing Titles.

With a drop in swell, on the final day, the event was moved to its primary location at Woolamai Beach which provided both left- and right-hand rip bowl options for the competitors.

Wave of the Day was awarded to Under 14 girls competitor Eliza Richardson (Sunshine Beach) for a 9.60 point ride (out of a possible 10).

Her high score was topped by Under 14 boys winner Locana Cullen with a perfect 10 for a full air rotation.
