Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing Ducati) has put on a stellar performance at the sunny Phillip Island Circuit today during WorldSBK’s free practice sessions, kicking off Round 1 of the championship for the 2025 season.
The Italian topped the time sheets during both Free Practice 1 and Free Practice 2, putting in a best of 1’28.790 during the second session whilst he led the charts during the first just two-tenths of a second slower (1’28.922) rendering him the only rider to tip into the 1’28s thus far.
Heading second on the charts for both sessions, Andrea Iannone (Team Pata Go Eleven) clocked a best time of 1’29.196 during FP2 (and 1’29.289 during FP1).
Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing Ducati) rounded out the top three in FP1 with 1’29.515, whilst Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad) slotted into third during FP2 with 1’29.599.
Aussie, Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha) placed 16th at the end of both sessions.
