Windsor House: Originally named Talofa, was the home of Mr and Mrs WE Thompson, whose name is commemorated by the main thoroughfare in Cowes and whose charitable work on Phillip Island has been documented in its history. The house stood on a 7 acre block with a frontage on Chapel Street and rear boundary on Church Street., opposite the Uniting Church and hospital. Mr Finlay was the builder . It was sold and opened as the Windsor House guest house in the 1950s.
