Leeane and Allison are not only partners in life, but also in business. They are the founders of Tarra Care, a home care service that provides support to people across the Gippsland region.
The couple moved to Phillip Island in 2014, and married at Smiths Beach in 2019.
They decided to start their own business inspired by their passion for helping others.
They named it Tarra Care, after the Aboriginal word for “river”, which symbolises life and connection. Allison's heritage traces back to the Dharug people on her maternal side.
Tarra Care is a beacon of compassion and community support.
“Everything is driven in us to give back to the community,” Leeane and Allison said.
“We want to give people an opportunity to feel valued.”
Their mission extends far beyond business—they aim to enhance the lives, health, and well-being of individuals across the greater Gippsland region.
They offer a range of services, such as personal care, shopping, meal preparation, dog walking, outings, medical appointments, and more. They cater to people from birth to end-of-life, respecting their dignity and preferences.
Leeane and Allison are an example of women who are not only successful entrepreneurs, but also inspiring leaders and role models.
They embody the spirit of International Women’s Day, which celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. They also remind us of the importance of kindness, empathy, and solidarity in these challenging times.
