By Midday on Monday, traffic was reportedly banked up back to A Maze N Things as people left the island, with other motorists reporting traffic barely moving all the way through to Lang Lang.
After a busy Easter long weekend, unsurprisingly traffic making its way off the island on Monday morning was moving at a snail's pace.
Social media reported that by midday traffic was banked up back past A Maze N Things as holiday makers left the island.
Other motorists reported traffic at a standstill from the Lang Lang roundabout to the island, with the stormy weather not helping with delays.
Roads across the island were busy all weekend, although police said there were no serious traffic incidents.
Saturday morning traffic was particularly heavy, with a huge crowd arriving to watch the first football match of the 2024 season, between Phillip Island and Warragul.
