The Red Rocks and Saltwater Coastcare group held a successful working bee in January, the first for 2025.
A team of 13 volunteers turned out to clean up litter and weeds along the Red Rocks picnic area, fire trail, tracks, Penguin Avenue and the dunes.
Several bags of litter were collected, including bottles, cigarettes and plastic, while thistles, polygala and sea spurge plants were removed from the dunes east of Red Rocks up to the McRae Avenue track.
The working bee finished with a cup of tea and cake.
The group holds working bees on the last Sunday of the month, from 10am until 12 noon.
