More Labyrinth walks
1 min read

After the success of the YES Walking Together – Listening with Heart Labyrinth Walk on September 16, two more walks have been scheduled this month.

Walks will commence at 5pm on Friday September 22 and September 29.

Lorraine Rodda, Facilitator of the Walk said people valued the opportunity to quietly contemplate their response to the upcoming referendum, and called for more walks for others to have the opportunity.

“It's called a Deep Listening Walk because it fits perfectly with the times we are now experiencing.

“The practice of Indigenous Deep listening is called Gulpa Ngawal deeply and respectfully in ways that build understanding and a sense of Community,” Lorraine said, quoting Dr Vicki Couzen Wanghan Ngootyoong.

“Deep listening is coming together with our hearts and spirits, travelling that road together and sensing the fabric of our connectedness.”

People walking the Labyrinth were invited to ask themselves three questions: What do I need to let go; What am I connecting to; and What am I going to do next.

For details, email Lorraine and Geoff, Rodda: lgrodda@gmail.com.

Directions: Drive to the end of Back Beach Road in San Remo and continue on the unmade road past Lions Picnic and Children's Park. The Labyrinth is on the right, alongside a row of Cypress Trees.
