Jumping for joy! Funding for San Remo Primary

There were celebrations at San Remo Primary School this morning, when Member for Bass Jordan Crugnale visited to promise $5.3 million for the school.

Ms Crugnale said if re-elected, the Labor government would deliver new permanent classroom spaces.

The $5.3 million will see the old portable classrooms demolished and replaced with new modern facilities..

“San Remo Primary School is a great local school that’s growing – that’s why we’re making sure it has the infrastructure it needs so that every student has access to a great learning environment," Ms Crugnale said.

“Education is so important in a child’s development and that’s why Labor has invested more than $200 million in building and upgrading schools in Bass.”

Kelly Woolford, Vice President of the San Remo School Council was thrilled with the announcement.

"I want to thank our current and also past school council presidents Tess Kyle and Fleur Mowlam who have fought really hard for our school community," said Kelly.

"This is such a great announcement. It's been a collaborative effort of our whole school community, we have so much pride for our school and this will mean our facilities will match.

"It’s a great thing for all our community, past and future."
