According to Geoscience Australia, the 6.0 magnitude quake at 9.15am was centred in Mansfield, at a depth of 10 kilometres.
The earthquake that shook Phillip Island this morning was felt across the state, as well as parts of the ACT and NSW.
According to the Geoscience Australia website, the 6.0 magnitude quake at 9.15am was centred in Mansfield, at a depth of 10 kilometres.
So far, the site has registered over 7000 "felt" reports, with the intensity report showing Gippsland and the island classified as light.
There are reports of building damage across Melbourne.
