Myli Libraries is hosting a session with Robyn Howarth, author of Faraday: A Community Rediscovered.
On Thursday February 6, Robyn, who grew up in Faraday, will share her deeply personal account of the events that shocked her community in 1972.
On October 6 of that year, Faraday became the site of a traumatic crime when two armed men kidnapped children and their teacher from the local school.
Known as the "crime of the century", the event left an indelible mark on the town. In her book, Robyn reflects on the emotional toll, childhood trauma, and the impact of the media frenzy that followed.
This is a not to be missed session, particularly those interested in local history, true crime, and personal accounts of resilience.
Robyn will also be available to sign and sell copies of her book at the event.
