Cowes Primary settles in for a fantastic year

It was a wonderful first week at Cowes Primary School for both students and staff.

The new Prep students have settled in well thanks to the support and guidance provided by their dedicated classroom teachers and education support staff.

This year Ms Tori Cleeland has joined the Prep team after spending the last two years in Year 6.

Mrs Bec Burgan also returns after a period of parental leave and Leticia Atkinson has joined the Cowes Primary School team (Year 4) after relocating from Spotswood. Kate Eastcott has also joined the

Year 4 team after working in leave replacement roles in 2021.

All classrooms spent the first week getting to know each other, building relationships and going through expectations that will assist them to maximise their success this coming year.

Principal Rod McKenzie said it has been lovely to see students interacting with each other and staff as they settled back into the classroom.

The glorious weather has ensured students are maximising their use of the school pool and preparations are well underway for upcoming carnivals.
