Objectors have lost their bid to overturn approval of a four-storey hotel at 85 Thompson Avenue.

Cowes hotel given final approval
Council approved the redesign for 85 Thompson Avenue, next to the cultural centre, and now VCAT has ruled against objectors in the developer’s favour. The redesign is four-storeys with a roof terrace and 17.1 metres high at the peak – above the shire’s preferred 11 metres – with a waiver of 29 car spaces.
