On Sunday March 16, Phillip Island Jazz Club presents Caught in the Act at the Phillip Island Bowling Club from 2pm.
Caught in the Act is an instrumental band playing a wide range of music: from exciting Latin tunes and jazz-funk (fusion) adaptations of standards to gentle songs from the 30s.
They last performed on the island in 2022 and Jazz Club members are looking forward to their return.
Caught in the Act was formed by Ann Craig and Kevin Blazé in 2016 to feature the flute playing exciting instrumental music.
The concept rapidly broadened to incorporate saxophone, strong piano and guitar, all held together by an outstanding rhythm section.
The band has played at many regional jazz festivals, at the Brunswick Green, private gigs, at the Australian Jazz Convention and each month at Jazz on Sundays at the Ringwood RSL.
Their line-up comprises Ann Craig (flute/percussion), Ashley Thomas (sax/clarinet), Kevin Blazé (guitar), Malcolm Hornby (piano), Frank Morgan (bass) and Simon Atkinson (drums).
Caught in the Act, Sunday March 16. Phillip Island Bowling Club, 40 Dunsmore Road, Cowes from 2pm - 4.30pm.
