Car ferry study kicks off

The feasibility study investigating the Cowes jetty as a possible location for a car ferry terminal will include environmental and heritage analysis and extensive community consultation.
Bass Coast Shire will this month start the public tender process, advertising for a consultant to lead the study, after the State Government in August announced $200,000 funding for the study.
At that time the government and shire confirmed traffic and parking impact assessments would be analysed, as well as an assessment to the jetty triangle, which in 2018 received a $2.5 million redevelopment.
