Birds, Bears and Cats at Ocean Sounds

A stellar line up is coming our way for Ocean Sounds 2025, at Churchill Island on January 11.

Birds of Tokyo, Boy & Bear, The Cat Empire and more are part of a stunning bill that also includes Sunshine and Disco Faith Choir, Jem Cassar-Daley, Cool Out Sun and Ozone Street, as well as a special performance from Millowl Dreaming.

Come along and enjoy picnic rugs, smiling friends, stunning local wines, gourmet food, the summer-sun softly setting over the ocean and some of Australia's most amazing live music.

Returning for its eighth festival edition, Ocean Sounds organisers said they were thrilled to announce that for the first time ever, they will have not one, not two, but three incredible festival headliners!

Together, they have achieved: 30 ARIA nominations, 36 triple j Hottest 100 entries and over 700 million streams.

Line up

 Birds of Tokyo have grown from independent roots to become one of Australia's most popular contemporary rock bands. Songs like "Plans", "Lanterns", "This Fire", "Anchor" and "I'd Go With You

Anywhere" have all been top 10 airplay hits and have led to appearances at every major festival in this country, as well as headlining slots at the AFL Grand Final and NRL's flagship State of Origin game.

The band is also the only artist in history to win "Rock Work Of The Year" on five separate occasions at the prestigious APRA Awards.

Boy & Bear swiftly catapulted onto the world stage releasing their double-platinum debut album Moonfire in 2011, which went on to snag five coveted ARIA award wins. 2013's Harlequin Dream and 2015's Limit of Love strengthened Boy & Bear's expansive presence, with both albums charting at #1, and Harlequin Dream marking the group's second studio album to go Platinum. Boy & Bear have continued to evolve and grow, gaining more and more fans from across the globe, with five consecutive top 10 albums and over 250 million streams.

Aussie icons The Cat Empire have had an illustrious career, spanning decades and genres. Illuminating stages across the globe, the band are a magnetic force that have captivated millions of adoring fans with their high energy performances and explosive sound and visuals!

With a history of multiple platinum records, awards, sold out tours and over 250 million streams – The Cat Empire have officially entered their golden era.

Alongside some of Australia's best live acts, Ocean Sounds will also showcase local wines, cheeses and gourmet food vans.
