The MotoGP returns to Phillip Island and this year’s event promises a weekend of great racing and entertainment.

Fans and riders are thrilled to be back in Australia after a three-year absence and there’s plenty of action, on and off the track.

Championship leader Fabio Quartararo will be looking to consolidate his lead, while home favourite Jack Miller will be hoping to score a home country victory, off the back of a win in Japan.

For the first time in more than a decade, there are two Australian riders on the grid at Phillip Island, Joining Miller, Remy Gardner arrives on the island as the reigning Moto2 champion.

Alongside the action on the track, there are some great activities on offer at the circuit.

If you’re looking for fun activities, or to sit back and enjoy some local entertainment, then Lukey’s Lawn is the place to be.

Test your skill on the lawn games Guess the Rider, Jenga and Connect Four, available all day, every day.

Looking for more excitement? Get harnessed up in the Bungee Tramps and try out your best tricks and flips. This is free and suitable for anyone aged five years or more.

Perhaps you’d prefer to catch a wave? The inflatable surf rider will test your ability through rips and swerves, and is suitable for ages 10 and up. This free activity runs from 11am – 4pm on Friday and Saturday and from 9am – 2pm on Sunday.

The Lukey’s Lawn stage will host the best local acoustic acts throughout the weekend. This year’s line-up includes The Bad Penguins, Dan Lunn, and The Times.

Gardner Village

Hear and see your favourite riders at the Fan Forum Stage in Gardner Village.

The stage hosts appearances from MotoGP, Moto2, international riders and VIPs at the Q&A Sessions. Fans can get comfy on the beanbags and watch GPTV outside operational times.

It’s all about bikes at the GP Expo. Check out the latest bikes from motorcycle manufacturers, browse riding apparel and purchase the latest in accessories.

A variety of exhibitors will bring all the products and services that riders love for you to try yourself. One of the most popular attractions at the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix, the GP Expo runs daily from gates open until gates close. Entrance to the event is free to all attendees, with the GP Expo located in the popular Gardner Village precinct, adjacent to Gardner Straight

At the front entrance to the GP Expo, you’ll find Urban Garage, where fans’ motorbikes are displayed. Vote for your favourite and the winner will receive a VIP experience.

And if you want a permanent memento of this year’s MotoGP, the Addikted to Ink tattoo parlour will be located at Gardner South. Pick your favourite permanent body art from the flash sheet of tattoos. Conditions apply, only available to fans over 18 years of age.

Extra access

The Island Walk is a unique chance to get up close and personal with your favourite riders. Hosted before gates open, this ticketed event gives fans exclusive access to their favourite MotoGP riders, including Australians Jack Miller and Remy Gardner.

The Island Walk gives fans the chance to welcome riders to the circuit each morning.

Situated along the riders’ route to the MotoGP Paddock, it will feature roving performers and a DJ. This is the best place to get a selfie or autograph with the event stars.

A limited number of tickets are available via Ticketmaster and start at $30 for a single day, or $75 for all three.

Ticketholders will have access to the Island Walk from 8am to 9.30am, with a priority coach service running from Southern Cross station in Melbourne’s CBD each morning.

For those fans staying at the campgrounds, the Trackside Stage will present live entertainment from Red Sector and Rustic Sons on Friday and Saturday night.

You can also test your skills against fellow campers on the arcade games and foosball tables.

GP Merch

Take your MotoGP experience back home with you and visit the official merchandise outlets to get your merch fix. You won’t be short on choice – there are 18 outlets around the circuit this year! Pick up your exclusive Animoca Brands Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix 2022 event range, including everything from headwear to T-shirts and special memorabilia.

A wide selection of the latest MotoGP rider and team merchandise is also available, including the exclusive Casey Stoner range. All merchandise outlets are open during gate hours.
