A new engagement platform for council

Bass Coast Shire Council has launched its new online engagement platform, ‘Engage Bass Coast’.

The council said the new platform will streamline its online engagement opportunities, providing a space for the community to give their feedback on Council projects, all in the one place.

The platform can be found at www.engage.basscoast.vic.gov.au.

Bass Coast Shire Mayor Cr Michael Whelan said that Engage Bass Coast will become a one-stop-shop for Council’s online engagement activities.

“It will not replace other methods of engagement such as face-to-face sessions, but rather complement them,” Cr Whelan said.

“When engagement opportunities become available, they will be listed on the Engage Bass Coast platform, with details about the project and information on how to provide feedback.

“A fantastic feature of the platform is the timeline, which provides a clear indication of a project’s milestones.”

The community can register to become a member of Engage Bass Coast to be notified when new projects are live and seeking feedback.

“You can also follow individual projects, to stay informed about any changes or updates or you can elect to be notified about projects that are in a particular area or field of interest,” Cr Whelan said.

“Every idea counts and we encourage everyone to use Engage Bass Coast to provide their feedback on any project that interests them. People under the age of 18 will need permission from a parent or guardian to use the site.”
