As we celebrate Seniors Month this October, it's important to highlight the profound impact that regular physical activity can have on the health and well-being of our seniors.

Staying active not only promotes physical health but also strengthens social connections, which are essential to a fulfilling life as we age.

At the Y Phillip Island, we believe in creating opportunities that keep seniors moving, engaged, and connected to their community. Exercise isn't just about fitness; it's about staying independent, maintaining mobility, and fostering relationships with others.

This month, we are proud to offer a variety of free events specifically designed for seniors aged 60 and over, including Chair-Based Exercise, Pickleball, and Zumba Gold. These sessions are tailored to different fitness levels, ensuring that everyone can participate and experience the joy of movement.

Friday, October 11 at 2.15pm:    Chair-based exercises
Friday, October 18 at 2pm:        Pickleball
Tuesday, October 22 at 9.15am    Intro to strength based training
Wednesday, October 30 at 2.15pm:    Zumba Gold
