Strong performance by Bulldogs in Anzac Round

The annual Anzac Round clash unfolded on Saturday, with the Phillip Island Seniors securing an 18-point win over Kilcunda Bass in front of a large crowd.

After an even first half, the Bulldogs lifted in the second with their class across the ground and forward line strength.

Billy Taylor booted six goals for the Island and was rewarded with the Gary Todd Medal after being named best player.

The Anzac Medal, recognising the player who best exemplified the qualities of courage, skill, teamwork and fair play, was awarded to Travis Tuck of Kilcunda Bass.

While Kilcunda Bass fell short on the scoreboard, they earned full respect with their relentless pressure.

Final scores: Phillip Island 14.10 (94) def Kilcunda Bass 11.10 (76).

Best players: Billy Taylor, Jaymie Youle, Yianni Caffieri, Hayden Bruce, Zak Vernon and Jordy Patullo.
