A Grade

Scores: Phillip Island: 37 def by Bunyip: 46.

B Grade

The Island girls knew they had a big job ahead. Bunyip came out strong and took the lead during the first quarter by four goals.

After a few changes and determination, the Island girls had an amazing second quarter.

The midcourt flowed nicely down the middle lane, excellent pressure by the defenders and shooters were on fire with 18-goals in the quarter. This fight took them to the lead at half time.

The second half was an intense match with both teams wanting the win.

No team gave up and it was a nail biter to the very end with Phillip Island taking victory.

Best on court: Sophie, Jess and Till.

C Grade

In a spirited match at Bunyip on a sunny but chilly winter's day, the Island were down several players due to illness.

Despite this setback, the team rallied together and showcased exemplary teamwork against their opponents.

Best on court: Georgie Young for Wing Defence and playing a crucial role in the team's performance.

Georgie demonstrated exceptional skill by intercepting numerous passes from the opposition, effectively disrupting their offensive plays and transitioning the ball back to her team's advantage.

Overall, the match was a display of competitive spirit and unity within the Island team, with Georgie Young's standout performance embodying their collective effort and commitment to overcoming obstacles.

D Grade

The Island's D Grade put up a strong fight in a great game against Bunyip.

Despite their efforts, Bunyip managed to take the lead in the final quarter.

Phillip Island's defence was particularly impressive throughout the midcourt and circle. The standout players receiving awards were Abby, Helene and Stacy.

U15s

U13s

It was a cold Saturday morning when the Island faced off against Bunyip in their home territory.

Coach Lawri made a strategic decision to start Abi in the centre, and the team adapted seamlessly.

Frankie and Macy, playing as goal shooter and goal attack, scored some beautiful goals.

Charlee and Piper supported effectively from the wings in the first quarter, leading to a 4-1 advantage for the Island.

By halftime, the team had extended their lead to 11-1 and showed no signs of slowing down.

By the final score, the Island dominated with Alice and Ella earning well-deserved awards for their outstanding performances.

U11s

In a frosty start at Bunyip, the Island's U11 girls battled the cold, once in motion, their passes were precise and effective.

The team dominated with a commanding victory.

Awards went to Bella in defence with her intercepts, while Milla impressed with consistent play in both goal-scoring and midcourt.

It was a well-deserved win for the Island which was highlighted by the standout performances from all the girls.
