Strong Grand Final win by U15 girls
1 min read

Wet conditions for the Grand Final was something the girls have experienced in the past and were not going to let interfere with this year's Grand Final campaign.

The U15s came out confident in the first quarter with clever play in the mid court and reliable and clever goalers Aisha and Mia converting well in slippery conditions.

The Warragul girls were steady, with several turnovers being made by both teams until it was goal for goal.

The Phillip Island girls got their groove in the second quarter, settled into the weather and the crowd.

Ellie and Ava were outstanding with their ability to move the ball down the court and manoeuvre around the ring, consistently getting the ball to the goalers.

The third and fourth quarter were exceptional with the Island girls taking control of the game.

Piper, Tilly and Adelle were sublime in defence where intercepts and rebounds were coming thick and fast.

Isla, Maisie and the injured Ruby were brilliant in the box, supporting and encouraging the girls on the court all game.

A fantastic effort from each player throughout the 2024 season led to a strong Grand Final win.

Scores: Phillip Island 34 def Warragul 22.

Best on court: Aisha Hibbert.
