To celebrate World Labyrinth Day, a special "Walk as One" event is being held on Saturday May 3, at the San Remo Labyrinth.
Organisers invite the community to join in and "participate in creating a unified energetic rolling wave of peace that continuously flows from one time zone to the next around the world".
The walk runs from 12.30pm until 3pm and will be facilitated by Australian Labyrinth Network Inc. members Joanne Cashman and Jo Johnson.
Joanne, a Veriditas-trained labyrinth facilitator, said she will introduce participants "to a simple technique of mind-heart-emotion balance that can be life-changing".
"It can also be inspirational and transformative when walking with a specific intention," Joanne said.
"Each person will be able to experience a soundscape from the Tibetan Singing Bowl before entering the labyrinth path, then the sounds of the natural world will accompany the walkers for the remainder of their walk."
This is a free, family-friendly event. BYO chair.
Location directions: Drive down Back Beach Road, San Remo, then continue on the unmade road, past the Lions Children's Park and Picnic Ground, then drive along the unmade section. The Labyrinth is on the right, alongside a row of Cypress Trees. Car parking is available.
