When local band The Slowbrew play the Phillip Island Winery on November 29, the audience is in for a treat.
The soulful ensemble has just released its debut album "Saxon & The Slowbrew" and guitarist Lachlan Gale said they'll be playing the entire album, "plus some extra stuff" on the night.
In preparation for the launch, the band have been rehearsing, and played the recent TIDAL seafood festival to "blow out the cobwebs".
"At rehearsals, we're adding a few extra elements," Lachlan confided.
"It's not just another gig. We're really trying to make it a special evening."
First act on the night is up-and-coming vocal ensemble "If and When", followed by Paul Rowbottom.
Paul and his acoustic guitar will be accompanied by local musician South Dudley Tom on harmonica, who will later join Slowbrew on stage playing congas.
The Slowbrew play the Phillip Island Winery on Friday, November 29. Doors open at 6pm and tickets are available through Humanitix, including a special vinyl/ticket combo.
Dinner bookings available through Phillip Island Winery.
"Saxon & The Slowbrew" is out now on North Fitzroy Records, available through digital and streaming services. To purchase vinyl, email theslowbrewmusic@gmail.com
Vinyl copies of the album will be on sale on the night.
