Neighbourhood Battery online info session
An online session on February 5 about the new neighbourhood battery project.
Seven neighbourhood batteries will soon be installed across the island, helping to store locally generated solar power and provide cleaner, more reliable energy for our community.
These batteries will store excess solar energy during the day and release it when demand is highest, reducing reliance on fossil fuels, lowering energy costs, and supporting a more stable electricity grid.
The new Neighbourhood Batteries will be located at:
To keep the community informed, an Online Battery Information Night is being hosted by Mondo to provide project updates and answer questions, on Wednesday, February 5.
The session will run from 6.30pm until 7.30pm.
The session is free, but please register at eventbrite.com.au
This initiative is a collaboration between Mondo, Bass Coast Shire Council, Totally Renewable Phillip Island, and the Victorian State Government, with $2.1 million in funding through the 100 Neighbourhood Batteries Program. These batteries will play a key role in Phillip Island’s clean energy transition.
