Now in its fifth year, Oz Day at the Daly continues its tradition of putting on a fantastic community day that showcases local musicians.
Organisers said the objective of the day on Sunday January 26 is to provide an opportunity for families to come together to reflect, respect and celebrate Australia Day.
Bass Coast has produced a wealth of local talent and it is proudly on display at the event, with entertainment provided by three great local artists.
Phillip Island musicians The Times and Imogen Price return to the Oz Day at the Daly stage this year.
Imogen is a talented singer songwriter and guitarist, well known and loved by local audiences.
Musical duo The Times is always a guaranteed good time, with a repertoire stretching across the decades.
Rounding out the bill are newcomers to the Oz Day stage, Bass Coast blues-surf outfit Ozone Street.
Their sound has been described as "a refreshing blend of vintage blues and surf-inspired melodies" and it's sure to get people up and dancing.
Calling themselves "balls to the wall blues", their swamp-soaked melodies with a hefty injection of funk and soul is a guaranteed crowd pleaser.
The three acts will provide four hours of entertainment and local production company Production Corp together with Bass Coast Sound and Video are on board again, to ensure a first-class sound, light and video operation.
"The day is all about family fun and while there will be carnival rides and face painting there will also be plenty of games and activities and the very popular tug of war," organisers said.
"The Bass Coast Historical Automobile Club will be displaying some of their superbly restored classic cars and the event caters for all ages.
"The atmosphere is relaxed and though some seating and tables are provided, people are advised to bring their own chairs or picnic rugs."
Activities continue into the evening with the highlight being the fireworks finale at 9.30pm.
"The quality of the fireworks displays has always been amazing and Fitzpatrick's Fireworks from Traralgon are again expected to put on another great show."
Local residents are reminded to make sure they secure pets and animals that may become distressed by the fireworks.
Oz Day at the Daly is a ticketed family-friendly event held at the Dalyston Recreation Reserve on Australia Day.
Catered for by the Dalyston Football Netball Club, gates open at 4pm with all activities ending after the 9.30pm fireworks display.
The venue is licenced and there is strictly no BYO alcohol.
