The Smith Street Band hit San Remo

Melbourne five piece, The Smith Street Band are heading to San Remo on July 8, as part of a run of shows along the East Coast.

The band have only just wrapped up their Life After Football Album tour selling out capital cities across the country and the newly announced run of dates will see the band head out to regional areas in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland as well as playing at Splendour in the Grass.

2022 saw The Smith Street Band release their sixth studio album, Life After Football, recorded by the band's bass player Fitzy at their solar powered studio in regional Victoria.

Forte Magazine described the album as "Smith Street at their finest", the album landed Album of the Week at triple j and saw the band return to triple j studios for Like A Version covering Alanis Morisette's 'Hand in my Pocket'.

The album includes singles ‘I Don’t Wanna Do Nothing Forever’ (which landed RAGE's Feature Video, and took out #90 in the triple j Hottest 100), ‘Everyone Is Lying To You For Money’ and title track 'Life After Football'.

The most recent album follows on from 2020 album Don’t Waste Your Anger which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Album Chart.

Over the last few years the band have also released three live albums, all of which landed in the ARIA Album Chart (#4, #11 & #30), and released a 10 year anniversary edition of their debut album No One Gets Lost Anymore (#41).
