After a year consigned to the wilderness, 11-piece party band, The Avenue Ensemble, will return for one show only at the Westernport Hotel, San Remo on Saturday March 29, at 9pm. 

It will be a dance party for young and old. The middle-aged are welcome too.

The Avenue Ensemble is a motley crew of internationally-recognised musicians who have come together to bring good times to dance floors across Victoria. 

At one venue, revellers got so carried away the pub had to re-stump its dance floor.

Some readers may remember their last show here in 2024. 

To others, it will be a hazy blur. 

They have spent the last year polishing their horns and beating their drums in preparation, and will return to the stage with more soul than a preacher's boot and more funk than a sharehouse fridge. 

Entry is free. 

Spirits will be high (and available at the bar). There will be dancing.
