The Billy Joel Story returns to the Newhaven College Blackbox Theatre on June 10.
Following on from their sold out shows at the Blackbox and at Bunjil Place in March, the Billy Joel Story returns to celebrate the hits and incredible career of the American musician, who has sold over 160 million albums worldwide.
The band is made up of a group of friends, local musicians and teachers from Newhaven College and the show is an incredibly faithful recreation of Billy’s timeless hits.
James van Cuylenburg is at the piano, backed by his “Big Shot” band featuring Dave Prideaux, Steve Gijsbers, Matt Goss and Trav Thompson.
Behind the mixing desk, making sure it all sounds sweet and smooth is Rob Turton.
The two act show features over 20 of Billy Joel’s hits and audiences will be singing along to such classics as “Piano Man”, “Uptown Girl”, and “She’s Always a Woman”, while the show also highlights the musician’s triumphs and challenges throughout his decades-long career.
The Billy Joel Story has been delighting audiences wherever they play.
