The annual Newhaven Primary School market and fete is back this weekend, on Saturday, October 30, from 9am until 2pm.

This year, the fete day is shifting the focus from fundraising to a community celebration.
“We have been through an incredibly difficult time and this Saturday we invite everyone to come to Newhaven Primary School and catch up with friends and loved ones in a celebratory atmosphere,” said the fete organisers.

The last two years have pushed our local and wider communities to the limit.
Newhaven Primary School was unable to hold their much-loved annual fete for the first time in over 30 years. This year, with the vaccination roll out and a possible end to restrictions, the fete plans needed to be reshaped.
“On the back of the hugely successful Newhaven Primary School Market, we have decided to hold the market on fete day, this Saturday October 30,” a spokesperson for the fete organising committee said.

“There will be a bumper line up of market stalls, extras from our students, live music, extra food stalls, games, and prizes.
“Look out for the ‘Friends of Newhaven Primary’ stall for details on how to become a member!
“We are also excited to be able to welcome our metropolitan friends and family back into regional Victoria just in time for the fete.”

Newhaven Primary School is looking forward to opening the school to the community once more.

Saturday is also a great opportunity for families to see the school and chat to members of the school community regarding future enrolments. For any queries, please go to the Facebook page @newhavenfete or @NewhavenmarketAU.
For market stall enquiries, please contact Felicity at admin@urbanmarkets.com.au.
