The annual RSL Poppy Appeal returns this Saturday, celebrating the centenary of the appeal.
RSL committee members, Cheryl Overton and Glenyce Paul said the anniversary “deserves our recognition and celebration”.
“Much needed funds to support veterans and their families have been given generously by the Phillip Island community,” said Cheryl and Glenyce.
“Our volunteers will be at Coles, Woolworths, newsagents, as well as the RSL.”
Covid restriction have limited the appeal in recent years, so the team are happy to be able to be back in the community.
“We look forward to seeing you all, as your donations assist our veterans and their families.”
Remembrance Day commemorations will be held at the Cowes Cenotaph on Thursday, November 11 at 11am.
