Ladies day at jazz club
1 min read

On Easter Sunday, April 20, Ladies Be Good is appearing at the Phillip Island Bowling Club from 2pm — 4.30pm.

Presented by the Phillip Island Jazz Club, you can expect an afternoon of top entertainment.

Ladies be Good were formed in 2014, when a group of friends wanted to get together and perform. They wanted to be different from all the other bands playing, with a strong front line of ladies sharing beautiful music with lovely musical interpretations.

In their repertoire you'll hear some well-known jazz tunes, stunning vocals, interesting arrangements and talented musicians, combining youth and experience. They love what they do and have a whole lot of fun doing it.

Ladies be Good have performed at Halls Gap Jazz Festival, Inverloch Jazz Festival, The Basin Music Festival, Hysteria Jazz Lounge and private parties.

The group consists of Jan Blake on vocals, Ann Craig on flutes and percussion, Ashley Thomas on saxophones and clarinet, Lisette Payet on piano and vocals, Holly Brick on bass and Sue Haylock on drums.

As their name suggests, this group have promised to be good ... so come along and find out.

"They are lots of fun. It is also their first time playing at the Phillip Island Jazz Club," a club spokesperson said.

"We recommend that you book early if possible, which gives us an idea on how many tables and chairs we need for the day."

The Phillip Island Bowling Club is located at 40 Dunsmore Road, Cowes.
