San Remo Primary School – everyday excellence
1 min read

Our motto at San Remo Primary School “Excellence every day for everyone” sums up the dedicated staff and our engaged children. The school buzzes with children being challenged and succeeding in their learning.

We work together as a community of teachers, parents and children to make sure our students are in a safe environment. An environment that allows them to express themselves, explore, ask questions, peer teach and much more – learning to build confident young learners. Leaders of the future.

Our school runs a curriculum that transitions and intersects smoothly from Prep through to Grade 6. The curriculum includes Literacy (reading, writing, word study), Maths, STEM, History, Inquiry and our “Rights, Resilience and Respectful Relationships” program, just to name a few. Explicitly taught with a focus on independent learning.

Our Buddy System ensures our students have connections throughout their primary schooling and into Secondary College, where they see familiar faces and develop friendships. Our buddies peer teach, share, enjoy books and build a bond to ensure our younger children are happy at school.

The school also offers a vibrant range of specialist subjects, including art, physical education, interschool sport, Japanese, music and library. Outside of the classroom, the school veggie garden and other outdoor spaces play an important role in school life.

We have a wonderful out of school hours program. It has been running for over fifteen years and is extremely valued by the community. A vibrant program is run where the children are happy and our parents are very appreciative. The program which runs from 7am to 9am and 3.30pm until 6pm, includes outdoor games, board games, art and crafts and cooking.

We have a proud history at San Remo Primary School. Visit our website and watch an interview about our “school history” between two past students – a young lady and her grandmother talking about her days at our school.

Enjoy the past as we build on the future for our children.
