Newhaven College fete a huge success!

After the hugely successful Newhaven College School Fete in 2023, the College's Parents and Friends Association (PFA) has once again pulled off a terrific day.

The weather was threatening in the morning, but by the afternoon the sun shone on a fantastic event. The College said the event was a wonderful bookend to a busy and successful year for the PFA, who have worked tirelessly on many events throughout the year.

With more stalls, rides and food trucks than last year, this year was double the fun.

Younger children enjoyed the rides, while families enjoyed live music and sampled food and wine from local vendors.

MC for the event was funny and talented Newhaven College Mum Natasha Crestani, who kept the entertainment on track for the afternoon, including music performances by students of all ages. The

Star Lotto Raffle was hugely popular, with great prizes and local businesses donating incredible items for the silent auction.

The highlight of the event, for many, was the sliming of some of the College Leadership and teachers, Head of Junior School Cath Huther and teachers Cameron Pedersen, Sarah Pedersen and Matt Jackson.

PFA President Angel Chambers was incredibly pleased with the event.

"I want to thank everyone who helped make the Newhaven College School Fete a success. We're grateful to the College, our dedicated volunteers, and the wider community for coming together, donating and supporting the day.

"The funds raised will go directly to the PFA Giving Fund, supporting initiatives that benefit our school community."
Principal Tony Corr was thrilled with the fete, yet again.

"The Newhaven College School Fete is a wonderful celebration for our community. As a school we are so appreciative of the amazing efforts of our Parents and Friends Association who have worked tirelessly to make this event a great success.

"I would especially like to thank the volunteers for their hard work especially Angel Chambers, Jenni Lewandowski and the Newhaven Fete Committee. As a school we are so lucky to have such a wonderful parent community who add so much to our school."
