Harmony Day was celebrated at San Remo Primary School on March 21.
Students and staff dressed in a splash of orange and participated in activities that focussed on inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.
The school’s Student Support Leaders ran inclusive games and activities in the yard at recess and lunchtime, with music playing and student working together. Activities included dodge ball, parachute games and a scavenger hunt.
Teachers planned Harmony Day activities in their classroom where there was collaboration, togetherness and understanding of the multiculturalism of our local community and beyond.
Lauren Hamer, Disability Inclusion and Wellbeing Leader at San Remo Primary School said, “Harmony Day is a great opportunity for us to celebrate who we are and what we stand for, ensuring everyone feels a sense of belonging, within our school and community.”
