Fifteen students from Cowes Primary School were selected to participate in the ASPIR (Artists of Phillip Island and Region) Art Exhibition.
It was held at Newhaven College from Friday 28th October to 31st where numerous local school artworks competed. The theme was ‘Portraits’ and Cowes Primary students took an abstract approach.
Students from grade five and six created some amazing artwork in oil pastel and watercolours taking inspiration from Pablo Picasso. Four of Cowes students won major awards.
Congratulations to Eliza Poll who came first and Dexter Goodall who came third in the junior section, while both Aaliyah Oxley and Raven Boisvert won Highly Commended awards.
The Cowes Primary School community is extremely proud of all the students that had their work exhibited.
